Troubleshooting
Nearby users not appearing?
- 1. Verify location permission. On iPhone, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → AirLinks and allow location access.
- 2. Enable Bluetooth if relevant. Nearby discovery may use Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in Control Center or Settings.
- 3. Confirm internet connection. AirLinks needs a network connection to look up nearby profiles.
- 4. Reopen AirLinks. Close the app and open it again, then confirm that discovery is enabled.
- 5. Make sure the other user is nearby and using AirLinks. Both people need to be close enough and signed in for nearby discovery to work.
Still stuck? Contact Support and choose Nearby Users / Discovery as the issue type.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is AirLinks?
AirLinks helps users discover nearby professionals and view or exchange professional profiles. It is a networking app designed to make in-person professional connections easier.
Why does AirLinks need my location?
AirLinks uses location to determine which other AirLinks users are nearby. Precise location powers proximity-based discovery so you can find professionals around you and, when you choose to be discoverable, allow nearby professionals to find you.
Does AirLinks use my location in the background?
When enabled and permitted by you, background location may be used to support nearby discovery functionality even when the app is not actively open. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings. AirLinks works best when it can update your location in the background, but you remain in control of the permission.
Does AirLinks track me for advertising?
AirLinks does not use personal data to track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes.
How do I change my location permissions?
On iPhone, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → AirLinks. From there you can choose Never, Ask Next Time, While Using the App, or Always, depending on how you want nearby discovery to work.
How do I delete my account?
You can request deletion of your AirLinks account and associated data on the Account Deletion page, or by contacting support directly. We will verify and process valid deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible.
I cannot see nearby users. What should I do?
If nearby users are not appearing, try the following:
- Verify that AirLinks has location permission.
- Enable Bluetooth if you are using nearby discovery features that rely on it.
- Confirm that your device has an internet connection.
- Reopen AirLinks and make sure discovery is turned on.
- Make sure the other person is nearby and using AirLinks.
If you still need help, contact support.
How do I report a bug?
